Elevating the Youth to level 2.0
In our relentless pursuit to bring hope to the impoverished community of Masinenge, we continue to lay the foundation of developing the community. This month we take a look at our youth programme, and how we look to build the future generations.
Elevate 2.0 is our Youth programme that we run for the under privileged youth of Masinenge and takes place every Friday from 4pm. We are privileged to have the support of NuForm, a local business that allows to utilise their facilities and has shown us continuous support.“It is indeed a privilege to be able to lead these children. Many of them come from backgrounds that some of us could never even begin to imagine,” said Philiswa Lwana, the senior leader.
The afternoon festivities kick off with an ice-breaker game, to ensure that everyone is familiar with one another, as well as set the tone for the exciting afternoon to come. This is quickly followed by praise and worship, where they spend time in the presence of the lord. “We always remember to keep God at the forefront of everything we do. It’s important to have fun and create a stress-free environment for our youth. However, it is more important that we stay grounded in the lord, and that is an important reason why we worship.” Philiswa added.
